The last year has witnessed definite economic volatility. US growth has been strong, but warning signs in both financial markets and overseas economies may be flashing. Economic policy makers have consistently followed their announced course, but persistence may be uncertain. What have been the related responses by individual economic decision makers and how are trends evolving?
To help us better interpret the full mx of economic highlights, we will welcome back for an annual return visit a senior business economist at the Chicago Fed who closely tracks regional activity in the Midwest. After hearing his presentation, you will ideally come away with useful insights on topics like:
- Federal Reserve policy trends
- Economic fundamentals in the US and abroad
- Prospects for various business sectors
- Relevant considerations for entrepreneurs
