Doris Christopher is the epitome of an American entrepreneur. She founded The Pampered Chef in the basement of her home in River Forest, Illinois in 1980. Today, The Pampered Chef is a multi-million dollar international company with more than 60,000 Independent Consultants worldwide and is a member of the Berkshire Hathaway family of businesses.


 

For more than thirty years, The Pampered Chef and its sales force of Independent Consultants have been helping families prepare delicious meals with a product line of more than 300 offerings – from entertaining to cookware, cutlery to cookbooks,stoneware to pantry items. Capitalizing on her knowledge of food preparation and her passion for teaching, Doris amassed an inventory of what she considered to be the essential home kitchen tools and began showcasing them at in-home cooking demonstrations. 


 

Christopherwill share her story and experience with starting a business to creating  asuccession plan.
